The Jets take a break from league action this week to host Adelaide Cobras in the first round of the FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds on Saturday 30 March, with kickoff at 2:30pm.

State League 1 leaders Modbury face a tricky cup tie against Cobras, the second placed side in State League 2. After their memorable run in the 2018 Cup competition, the Jets will be looking forward to their campaign this year and will be seeking to advance to the latter rounds. Incredibly, its the Jets first home Cup match since they hosted Raiders in 2013.

After suffering their first loss of the season last week, Cobras will be a difficult opponent who will be looking forward to taking on a State League 1 side to prove their credentials and will be determined to claim a victory against higher-placed opponents. Modbury should be confident that they can carry their league form into this match and supporters will be expecting them to come away with the win.

Modbury last played Cobras during the 2014 State League Season where they recorded a 4-1 home win, and a convincing 7-2 win away.
