Modbury host Raiders at Smith Partners Stadium in a State League 1 Elimination Final on Saturday 19 August at 2:30pm.

Following last week’s 1-1 home draw with Pirates, the Jets took third place on the ladder and the right to host sixth-place Raiders, who secured their finals berth with a come-from-behind win at Salisbury last week, at home in an Elimination Final. It’s sudden death football and both sides will be looking to keep their season alive. Having played out two draws already this season, a result will be guaranteed this time around.

Modbury’s supporters will be quietly confident that they will be back at home in week two of the finals series, however a strong and disciplined performance will be necessary to overcome a determined Raiders side who will be looking to salvage an inconsistent season. To progress, the Jets will need to demonstrate the same kind of resolve in defence that they have exhibited in the past few weeks while the attacking players must make the most of any chances that fall their way in front of goal.

9:30am: U18s, Adelaide Victory v Modbury, 12:00pm: Reserves, South Adelaide v Cove
