In their final home match of the 2016 season, Modbury host Sturt Lions in a Round 21 State League 1 fixture on Friday 5 August with kickoff at 7:30pm.

Following an important, if not convincing, 2-1 away win at Playford last week the Jets find themselves in the top six with their finals destiny in their own hands with two matches to play. Modbury must be at their best to get the points as Sturt come into the match in good form. At their best, the Jets have shown that they are capable of competing with the best teams in the league however must be more consistent and ensure that they keep their concentration until the final whistle – a lesson learned the hard way in their last encounter with Sturt. In what could be the last match played on turf at Jet Park, Modbury will be wanting to repay their loyal supporters with a strong home performance.

In the away fixture in Round 10, the Jets raced to a two goal lead following a Shomari brace, only to be pegged back in second half injury time after conceding in the 91st and 95th minutes in one of the most disappointing results of the season.
