Modbury are back at Jet Park on Friday10 July for our Round 21 PS4 NPL fixture against Adelaide City. Kick-off is at 7:30pm.

After a huge result against Raiders in the last round, the Jets need to back up this week and put in another solid performance against a very good Adelaide City side who will be looking to consolidate their top-six position. While the addition of Tom and Ryan Strain to the Jets has proven to be a great boost to the squad, its pleasing to see the whole team lift with some outstanding individual performances and top quality finishing on display last week. We will certainly need to reproduce the form that we took into the Raiders match to get a result against Adelaide City.

This week’s announcement that First Team coach Jason Trimboli has been reappointed for a further two seasons has given members and supporters a real boost. A string of positive results over the remaining six PS4 NPL rounds will see Modbury achieve its objectives for the 2015 season – we know that our destiny is now in our own hands.

Our last meeting with Adelaide City was our Round 8 NPL fixture at Oakden which saw the Jets claim an impressive 3-1 away win. After coming in at half time 3-0 up, with goals to Devlin, Rinaldo and McNally, Adelaide City threw everything at us in the second half but we managed to hold them out and secure the three points.
