In its last home and away match of the 2017 season, Modbury host Port Adelaide Pirates at Smith Partners Stadium on Saturday 12 August with kickoff at 3:00pm.
Having secured their place in the finals series, the Jets put in an outstanding performance in Round 21 to convincingly beat league leaders South Adelaide 3-0 away. A similar performance will be required on Saturday, with a win required to ensure that Modbury is at home in the first week of the finals. Port Adelaide, who will be fighting hard to gain their place in the finals, are in great form leading into this fixture and picked up all three points when we met in Round 11. The Jets will need to be at their best to get a result and, more importantly, to build on last week’s result and take some important momentum into the finals series.
